Founded in Beijing in 1957,aerospace research institute of materials&processing technology(ARIMT)is the research center of materials&processing technology in china aerospace industry.the first director of the institute, Yao Tongbin,was awarded a-bomb,h-bomb and first satellite medal.till now ARIMT has attained3 state invention awards,more than 20 state awards for technology process and more than 40ninistry awards for technology process.
There are nearly 900 employees in ARIMT, including 45 professors, 185 senior engineers,350 engineers,with the educational level of 80doctors,more than 220masters and200 bachelors. ARIMT has developed to a leading institute possessing 100,000square meter area and more than 4,700sets of equipment.As the research center of aerospace processing technology, ARIMT has constructed research and application center of resin matrix composite structure manufacturing technology,state key laboratory of functional carbon fiber composites, aerospace testing & failure analysis center, aerospace composite component processing center,aerospace nondestructive testing center,aerospace special welding center and aerospace surface engineering center. The company is located in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (West Zone), and focused on new materials’ R&D and Production. It has established the carbon material base in Shandong Province and the stitching fabric base in Hebei Province. The main products include stitching fabric、srepreg 、siber composite materials/products、C/C material & Special graphite material products、Sealing and damping products 、sowder metallurgy、special coatings and so on. Wind EnergyR&D and Manufacture of Stitching Fabric
ARIMT is a professional manufacturer of multiracial stitching fabrics for wind blades, boating and other composite materials. Based on the more than 10 years experience in fabrics production, it developed a series of fiberglass stitching fabrics with direction of multiracial, biaxial, unidirectional, and some types stitching fabrics made of high modulus fiberglass, carbon fiber.
Now, it has more than 10 sets of advanced multiracial stitch-bonded machines, biaxial stitch-bonded machines, cutting equipments, and produced different kinds of fabrics more than 10,000 ton per year, the
production has passed GL certification, LIoyd’s Register , etc.

It is mainly used in waterproofing of railways, bridges, oil and chemical industry. It’s also applied in roof waterproofing of the buildings, industrial plants, vapor barrier of cold storage, reservoirs, tunnels, underground works, etc.
Anticorrosion material
It is mainly used in various types of concrete tanks and ancillary equipment in oil and chemical industry. It is also used in tank cofferdam, pickling tank, electroplating tank, carbonization tower, evaporation ponds, neutralizing tank, waste water treatment pond, drainage ditch, etc.
Elastic waterproof material
It is mainly used in roof waterproofing of the buildings, industrial plants, vapor barrier of cold storage, reservoirs, bridges, tunnels, underground works, cooling towers, waste water treatment pond, aquarium, swimming pool, etc.

Based on a two-component polyurethane technology, the aliphatic topcoat for high-speed rail has excellent aging-resistance and elasticity, which can be constructed in flexible modes. It is especially suitable for spraying polyurea elastomer to prevent its discoloration. The product also applicable to a variety of substrates including fiberglass, bare steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, etc.

Testing and Analysis
After nearly 50 years’ development, more than 10 subjects of nondestructive testing were built up, which has complete technical credentials and identification system for NDT personnel, such as rays, ultrasound, penetrate, magnetic particle, eddy current, acoustic emission, laser holography, leak-ray tomography, visual inspection and so on. With the nondestructive testing equipment in aerospace systems, a number of testing and evaluation tools have reached the international advanced level.

Axis NC Machining
Relying on advanced composite materials manufacturing technology and advanced five-axis CNC machining centers, the maximum work piece range up to: 60m×5.5m×4m. It uses high-speed three-dimensional surface contour milling to the maximum extent to ensure the geometric accuracy of machined parts. Now, ARIMT has the capacity of processing and production of megawatt-class wind turbine blade mold, luxury yachts,
automotive mold and other large composite structures.
